Brittany Powers

Brittany Powers, MPH, University of Delaware 

Brittany Powers is a PhD student in Health Behavior Science and Promotion working with Dr. Sean Healy. Her research interest is the development of an effective intervention to promote mental health among college students with intellectual disabilities (ID). She utilizes community-based participation research and mixed-methods approaches. Her current research includes a systematic literature review of anxiety among adults with ID. Brittany previously worked as the Interim Director of Health & Wellness at UD’s Center for Disabilities Studies, where she collaborated with state- and nation-wide multidisciplinary partners on initiatives to improve systems and services for individuals with disabilities and their families.
