MacKenzie Pigg

MacKenzie Pigg, University of Virginia  

MacKenzie Pigg is a PhD student of Kinesiology for Individuals with Disabilities at the University of Virginia. While completing her Master’s Degree, MacKenzie was a health and physical teacher at Fuqua School. She also coached junior/varsity volleyball teams as well as varsity basketball. MacKenzie has served on the VAHPERD board of directors as the student representative and currently serves as the General Division Vice President.  

MacKenzie worked as a head coordinator for the Buddy Ball organization for three years while at Longwood University. This experience has helped foster her research interest to study the structure of rural adapted sport programs. She wants to work with the coaching staff and athletes to find out about their experiences throughout the programs.
