Paige Laxton
Paige Laxton, MS, CTRS, CBIS, University of Delaware
Paige Laxton is a first year PhD student in Health Behavior Science and Promotion working with Dr. Sean Healy. Her research interest is to develop effective interventions to promote leisure time physical activity in emerging adults with intellectual disabilities and brain injuries. She utilizes community-based participation research, and technology–based methodologies. She is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with experience working in physical rehabilitation and mental health. Recently, she developed and managed a structured day program for adults with brain injuries that focused on increasing overall health and wellness through recreation.
