Shannon Zimmerman
Shannon Zimmerman, M.Ed., West Virginia University
Shannon is a first-year doctoral student and graduate research assistant at West Virginia University in the Coaching and Teaching Studies Program with a cognate in adapted physical education. Prior to beginning the doctoral program, Shannon received both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in health in physical education. After graduation, Shannon worked as a health and PE teacher for 4 years at a school in Pittsburgh, PA. Her research interests include physical activity levels and overall well-being of young adults with disabilities and self-efficacy and communication of peer mentors working with individuals with disabilities.
